November 9th, 2010, was the day I stepped on board the Good Ship “Twitter”, and sailed away from my own comfy shore, only to find lots of new horizons along the way.

I tentatively started “following” people with whom I had shared interests, wondering if anyone would “follow” back.  But follow back they did, and within a short time, I had encountered  lots of people from all walks of life.

This Twitter voyage has taken me to parts of the country I have never previously visited.  It has re-awakened interests I once had, and to which  I never thought I would return.  It also  made me step up a gear with my other love, baking.

I have met quite a few of my Twitter Pals through various visits and meetings, and they are just as interesting and pleasant in real-life as on Twitter!  Funny that, considering we have always taught our daughter not to speak to strangers over the internet!!!

Through encouragement from lots of Twitter folk, I started my Blog in April, 2011, and have had 5600+ hits so far.  Who knew so many readers would pop by to look at my recipes and  read about my encounters!

So here’s to all my Twitter Pals and readers of my blog,  up and down the country, and across the world.  Thank you for the laughs, the tears, the jokes, the recipes, the information, the advice, the support, the chit-chat, and the company.  I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and I hope you have too.
